  You will learn how to make a pendant using crystals and glass cabochons embedded in epoxy clay. This technique is similar to creating mosaics. No prior experience is needed. Class size is limited to 10 students.

  Cost: $35 (this includes a $10 kit fee)

   -Kits containing everything you need to make your pendant will be provided.

   -Several colorways will be available to choose from at the beginning of the class.

  Students need to bring:

    - Bead mat

   - Beading light, if needed

   - Magnifiers, if needed

   - Magnifying glass, if you have one

  You will complete your pendant during class.

  Short Bio: I like to create my own components to make the jewelry I design unique. I've been beading for about 50 years (yes, really!). I'm interested in all types of beads and their history, but especially pressed (molded) glass beads made in Czechoslovakia, Germany, and Austria. I also have a large collection of books on beads and bead history, charm bracelets, costume jewelry, beaded jewelry, and jewelry instruction. In other words, I'm attracted to just about anything to do with beads!

  Class Cost $35

  Class Description: 

  In the class you will learn how to mix Glitter into the Resin in order to build the mixture to form the piece.  You will be able to produce any shape & size you like.  The mixture is thick enough to form a Geo shape & the colors will not run into each other.

  Instructor Information:

  Helene was born and raised in Golden, NM where she first saw how beautiful nature can be. Her mother and grandmother made beautiful, beaded leather jackets and moccasins for Pioneer Wear in Albuquerque. She sorted beads for them and watched them work and was drawn to the sparkle of beads at age 7 and has been designing art ever since. She has lived several places in the Southwest and has created jewelry, stained glass (she also had a stained-glass shop), and accessories. Some pieces were highlighted and sold through the New Mexico Uniqueables Catalog. She became interested in Resin about 3 years ago and has been educating herself ever since. Helene has found the combination of beads and resin satisfying and therapeutic and is excited to now be teaching others!

    - UV Resin and all other materials and tools needed.
