BSNM Field Trip To Tesuque & Santa Fe - May 27, 2023

An exciting trip to visit members Anna Holland’s studio and Alice Helstrom’s new storefront in the Santa Fe area. (This is our big field trip this year!) We will meet in the parking lot at the Target on Paseo del Norte and I-25 at 8:30 and carpool north -- or meet your driver elsewhere as agreed between you.   Please carpool because there is limited parking and this is a private estate. We will need to go through a security gate. The security number will be provided to the drivers.

Cost: $5  - passengers please contribute to your driver to defray the cost of gas, vehicle costs, etc.

Participation is limited to 25 registrants total, as Anna is graciously providing lunch for 25.  Registration is currently set for BSNM members only.  If 25 members do not sign-up, registration will be opened up to non-members and guests. 

Itinerary: First, we will visit Anna Holland (the address is 15 Camino Sabio, Santa Fe – really Tesuque; we will have directions for drivers, or you can Google the address). She lives on 7 acres in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in a house that has 94 glass windows and doors (with a spectacular view out of each one!). We will see and experience beads and artifacts Anna has collected from around the world. Bring your appetite of curiosity for the arts; there is something for everyone to enjoy. Anna will then provide us with lunch!

Next, we will head back to Santa Fe to visit Alice Helstrom’s new storefront at 418 Cerrillos Road (this is in the Traveler’s Boutique at The Design Center). There are three other shops at this location, including one owned by a friend of Alice’s, Elinor. Both shops have exotic beads, artifacts, and treasures from around the world – but different from each other. Alice and Elinor are offering a 10% discount to BSNM members during our visit. We will also have homemade ice cream for dessert!
