Oct General Meeting

Zoom Meeting (remote meeting) Time: 6:30pm - 8:30pm    Indea Sanchez in our Zoom Admin.  Make sure she has your current email address.  Setup will start at 6pm.  Click on the link in your 'invite' email prior to the meeting.

The Board will wear Halloween costumes and Jewelry. So those inclined- wear your Costumes, after all it is a Zoom meeting and you only need 1/2 a costume-just kidding!

Drawing.  We will have a drawing during our Zoom meeting, so when you check in with Indea, please get your number for the drawing for this spectacular "Aegean Teal'' (color of the yr. for 2021) $200 Kazuri 30 inch neck-lace named GREEN LIONESS with Pita-pats beads in a Kilifi pattern donated by Cael Chappel of Baskets of Africa.

Raffle.  Plus we will raffle a Kazuri blue & green polka dot bracelet & pale green earrings.

Presentation.  Cael Chappel will give a presentation on Kazuri Ceramic Beads and their hand- crafted process. 

BSNM Annual Elections.  Nominations for Board positions are welcome. Some current officers are willing to serve on the board due to COVID-19, and were nominated at the Sept. Zoom General Meeting. However, all positions on the board are open for members who want to run and they must be nominated for the vote at the meeting. Voting will take place as standard procedures during our election meetings w/ "Raising of the Hands" the same as in  past years. You can only vote once and those folks not on Zoom can vote by email to beadsocietynm@gmail.com , or call Pat Verrelle. On the Website www.beadsocietynm.org/ you can read about all the positions in the By-Laws.

Nominations Needed... we have at least one person nominated for most positions with the exception list below.  Here is the current positions and their status:   Upcoming Elections-2021.pdf

Nominees Needed 2nd VP who plans and arranges programs for teh General Membership meetings and for the Bead Time programs and coordinate with the President and Board. Membership Recruiter that oversees and forms a Welcome Committee.  Visits Bead Stores, shows and events for the purpose of recruiting new members. Member-At-Large is responsible for representing the suggestions and concerns of the general members and reporting to the President and Board at meetings. Photographer to take pictures at meetings and events, including all contest entries and winners and providing photos to the Webmaster, Social Media Manager and Newsletter Editor for publication.
